License Fees:

Impound Fees/Kenneling Fee:

*proof of rabies is required upon licensing.
Senior citizen owners $10.00 per dog, Lifetime
license (60 years old and above) Non transferable
to another dog.

$25, per dog for the first time in a 12 month period.
$50, per dog for the second time in a 12 month period.
$100, per dog for the third time in a 12 month period.

All other owners $8.00 per dog if spayed or
neutered $16.00 per dog, if unaltered.

Late Fees:
City: $10.00 per dog after January 31st
County: $30.00 per dog after January 31st

Duplicate Tag: $3.00 each tag

Kennel License:
(for more than two dogs)
Granted by Morgan City Council for city residents
and Morgan County Council for county residents.
Application must be made through the Planning and
Zoning Department. Renewal due every year at
licensing time.

Animal Ordinance:

You can view a copy at the Sheriff's Office or you can obtain your own copy from the Clerks Office for a fee.
